Hoopoe Made of Steel – Metal Bird Sculpture (Z51)
Z51 is a hoopoe made by hand from steel. The bird sits on a slender stem with its crest raised like a fan and its long beak pointing forward.

The crest and the beak
The crest is made of separate, rounded feathers that open upwards like a crown, the feature by which everyone recognises a hoopoe. The long, thin beak curves gently down. The neck and body are covered with small feathers, while the wings and the tail are made of longer, layered ones.
A stem and a flower
The hoopoe perches on a stem that grows from a base shaped like an open flower with rounded petals. Two long leaves rise beside the stem, so the sculpture has the lightness of a plant and stands steadily at the same time.
For a home or a garden room
A steel hoopoe is a charming accent on a windowsill, a dresser or a desk, and a thoughtful gift for a birdwatcher. We can make other birds to order. More birds and animals in steel are presented among our metal animal sculptures.
