Garden Architecture in Wrought Iron

Garden architecture is everything that turns a plot of land into a place to live outdoors: a gazebo for summer dinners, a bridge over the pond, a pergola heavy with roses, a swing in the shade, a canopy over the front door. We design and hand-forge all of these in steel, in the same workshop and with the same care as our gates and sculptures.

Explore our garden architecture

Each piece is made to order. You can choose one of the designs above and adapt it, send us a photo of something you like, or ask us to draw a complete set in one matching style for your house and garden.

Structures for living outdoors

Our wrought iron gazebos range from open bandstand-style pavilions to roofed garden rooms and a fully glazed orangery. For water features we forge ornamental garden bridges with oak decks, lamps and family crests, and for climbing plants there are pergolas, arches and trellis panels strong enough to carry a mature wisteria.

Comfort, cooking and the facade

A canopied garden swing is often the most used seat on the property, so we build ours with solid frames and roofs that keep off sun and drizzle. Outdoor cooks can choose from our blacksmith-made BBQ grills and smokers, some of them practical, some of them sculptures in their own right.

Garden architecture also reaches the facade. Forged door canopies protect the entrance in style, and wrought iron window grilles add security without making a home look like a fortress.

Outfitting a garden in forged steel

Garden architecture is an important complement to a garden and gives it its character. We specialise in highly ornamental design and, more and more often, modern forms; most of what we make is produced by artistic forging, a long and painstaking process that gives spectacular results. In detail and quality, the metal garden furniture and structures we make are among the best in Europe. We work from our catalogues, from your designs or from a completely new idea: tell us what you need, and we will propose, design and make it, in any colour and size, so it fits a garden of any shape.

The pieces we make most often are forged swings, benches, door and terrace canopies, garden bridges, pergolas and BBQ grills.

Steel left outside needs proper protection. Everything in this section is hot-dip galvanized after forging and then painted, with heat-resistant coatings on the grills. That is why our garden structures still look good after many winters, from Scandinavia to the American Midwest.

Combined structures

Many of our garden structures combine several products into one composition. We often join a door canopy with garden lamps, creating a forged canopy with built-in lighting, and we fit forged lamps to garden bridges, swings and benches to create beautiful and unusual compositions. Other pieces combine garden architecture with metal art and garden sculpture, where the possibilities are practically unlimited.

Some combinations are less obvious. A door canopy can be joined with forged railings into a porch with side screens that runs continuously into the balustrade, and that continuity can even extend to a forged fence; such solutions are always individual and designed for each client separately.

Small garden architecture in one style

Small garden architecture is what organises a garden and makes you want to spend time in it: gazebos, pergolas, swings, bridges, grills and door canopies. We make all of them by hand in steel and hot-dip galvanize them, so they cope with season after season outdoors. The elements of one garden can be made in the same style and colour, for example a gazebo, a pergola and a bridge with identical ornament, together with window grilles and a door canopy matched to the gate and fence.
