Entrance Gate Filled with Copper (BP64)

BP64 swaps the usual steel infill for copper, which glows behind the lattice and scrolls and slowly deepens in colour over the years. An oval medallion with a floral motif sits at the centre of the gate.

There are two ways to build it. With the copper sheet set inside the frame, the forged pattern is visible from the street and from the house. With the sheet fixed to the inner face, the street sees the forged pattern and the yard sees a plain copper surface.

Spearheads along the arch

A row of sharp spearheads crowns the arched top line, and the lower band is formed by a lower lattice in a frame of panels. Copper gives the gate a warm, noble character that is unusual among metal gates, and the full infill screens the view of the property. We make a wicket in the same pattern.
