Designer Forged Hunting Table (MK49)

MK49 is a coffee table and a sculpture at once: two capercaillies locked in a fight among forged leaves and grasses, under a glass top that lets you watch the scene from above.

The glass rests on the two birds, whose plumage is forged feather by feather. They stand on a base of leaves and grasses, and a dark patina with lighter rubbed highlights brings out the texture of the wings. By firelight the feathers seem to stand out from the steel.

For hunters and nature lovers

MK49 belongs in a hunting lodge, a forester’s house or a room with a fireplace, where furniture is allowed to be a sculpture too. Together with lamps and gates with hunting motifs it helps create a consistent interior. If you like these birds, see also our capercaillie sculpture.

Your own animals

We can change the motif and make the base with other species, such as pheasants, wild boar or a stag, and agree the size and shape of the glass with you. Because every feather is made individually, each table is a one-off. More designs are shown among our forged tables.
