Forged Sculpted Balustrade with a Pheasant (BA85)

BA85 is a hunting-style railing with a life-size pheasant perched above a tangle of forged branches beneath a timber gable.

It was made entirely in our workshop in Dębica, hot-dip galvanized and painted, and any element can be modified.

A pheasant at 1:1 scale

The pheasant in the upper part of the composition was forged at natural 1:1 scale, with its proportions, the movement of its body and the structure of its feathers kept true to life. Every element was made in our forge from steel, without ready-made components, so no two compositions are ever the same. The railing protects the gable and is, at the same time, a genuine work of artistic blacksmithing.

Steel treated like sculpture

This piece belongs to the group of artistic railings in which steel is handled as a sculptor’s material. The form is not assembled from prefabricated parts; every detail is modelled by hand. The plants that build the background also have real depth, so branches overlap, leaves turn towards the light and the scene changes as you walk past the house.

Designed for one building

Each railing is designed individually, taking into account where it will be mounted, the proportions of the architecture and what the owner expects. The scene can be changed: another bird or animal instead of the pheasant, a richer plant composition, or a design with an entirely different character. More pieces in this spirit are collected among our sculpted forged railings.
