Traditional Forged Fence (BP87)
BP87 is a traditional blacksmith fence panel: vertical bars rise to a wavy crest dotted with forged leaves, set on a rendered wall.

It suits almost any home or residence, and we make it to any size.
One design from fence to gate
BP87 is the fence from a complete set: in the photos it runs along a new house together with the forged driveway gate BP55 and a matching wicket, with a letterbox set into one of the pillars. Vertical bars, some of them twisted, rise from a wavy band of scrolls to a crest dotted with forged leaves, and the same leaves and curves reappear on the gate leaves, so the whole frontage reads as one piece of work.
The cream rendered wall and pillars give the black ironwork a clean background, and the leafy crest softens the line of the fence against the sky.
Neither plain nor overwhelming
The design avoids both extremes. It has enough detail to give the house character, but its divisions are calm and the ornaments are easy to read, so the composition looks harmonious from close up and from across the street. Owners who want a tidy, representative frontage without heavy decoration usually feel at home with it.
Because the fence is open, the front garden stays visible and the house keeps a friendly look, while the boundary and the entrance are clearly marked.
Details that need care
In this style the finish matters most: symmetry, evenly drawn lines and neat joints are what create the impression of quality. The leaves are forged one at a time and welded to the crest, the twisted bars are turned hot to an even pitch, and the wave of scrolls along the base is set out so that it meets the pillars at the same point in every span.
- fence, wicket and driveway gate drawn as one set,
- letterbox and house number in the same style,
- any span width and height,
- black, graphite or antique finish.
BP55 itself, with other leafy entrances, is presented with our hand-forged driveway gates.
Ordering a complete entrance set
When the fence, the gate and the wicket are ordered together, we draw them as one composition from the start. The crest of the fence can rise towards the gate, the leaves on the gate can be slightly larger to mark the entrance, and the letterbox and intercom can be built into a pillar so that no cables or plastic housings spoil the view. Everything is then made, finished and installed in the same colour, which is hard to achieve when elements come from different suppliers.
