Massive Openwork Forged Gate (BP17)

BP17 is a long, massive double gate.

Its top frame is bent from thick material into bold, fanciful curves, and below it the more delicate ornaments are woven between bars that carry decoration of their own.

In the photo it guards a Mediterranean-style villa, but the design adapts easily to brick, stone or rendered houses.

A spearhead at the centre

BP17 is made with traditional blacksmithing methods. Its centre is marked by a vertical spearhead with forged scrolls, rising above the wavy line of the frame, from which large S-scrolls spread out to both sides. A low, solid band at the bottom of the leaves brings order to the composition and screens the driveway.

We make the gate to measure and protect it by hot-dip galvanizing. More designs in a similar spirit are shown among our traditional forged gates.
