The Lamplighter – Steel Sculpture 220 cm Tall (Z31)

Z31 is a lamplighter made of steel, 220 cm tall. A hooded old man raises a lantern high and leans on a walking stick. We forged it by hand.

A figure from old streets

The lamplighter wears a long coat with a shoulder cape and a deep hood, and the folds of the fabric are hammered into the steel so they seem to move. His bearded face looks up towards the lantern he holds in his raised right hand, while his left hand rests on a long, slightly bent stick.

Lantern, boots and stick

The lantern has a square frame with glass panes, like the ones once carried through city streets at dusk. Heavy boots, the long coat and the stick give the statue a firm, stable silhouette, and the dark steel makes it look serious and a little mysterious.

For entrances, gardens and venues

A lamplighter of this height welcomes guests at a hotel, a restaurant, an old town house or a private garden. We make such figures to order and can adapt the details. Our second version is the lamplighter with a dog, and many more large figures are shown among our steel figures of warriors and characters.
