Wrought Lamp in Knightly Celtic Style (OGD68)

OGD68 is a lamp for lovers of castles and the Middle Ages: a white globe enclosed in black hoops with cross-shaped cut-outs, standing on heavy, symmetrical scrolls.

The hoops cross over the globe like the bands of an old helmet or a castle lantern, a ball finial sits on top, and dark cross shapes are set into the white glass between them. Below, large S-shaped scrolls spread out in four directions to form the base. In the photo two lamps of different heights stand among stones and grass.

A knightly design

The simple, geometric form brings to mind old castle lanterns, and the cross motif makes the lamp stand out even in daylight. It is at home beside a tower, a stone wall, a Gothic-style house or in the garden of a palace, and it suits gardens with stone and rough timber.
