Gold and Graphite Glamour Garden Swing (AH1)

AH1 may well be the most lavish swing we have ever forged.

Its side frames swell like tall vases, the canopy is edged with a gilded crest of scrolls, and hand-made leaves and flowers climb every upright in shining gold against matte graphite.

Behind the glamour there is serious blacksmithing: thick bar stock, heavy forging and dozens of individually shaped leaves, which is what gives the swing its sculptural depth.

Where it belongs

The gold-and-graphite palette suits gardens styled in a glamour or Hollywood Regency spirit, but it looks surprisingly natural in a Japanese garden too, where the warm metal echoes lanterns and maple leaves. It is a genuine showcase of what artistic blacksmithing can do, and the centrepiece of our collection of wrought iron garden swings.
