Designer Stained Glass on Columns (WDR8)

WDR8 is a set of designer stained glass panels set into columns and lit from within.

Tall, arched panels in deep blue, red, gold and green glow in the dim interior, crowned with shell-like fans.

In the evening the columns become coloured lanterns that light the whole room.

Stained glass as lighting

Backlit stained glass does not need sunlight, so it can be used in places where there is no window at all: on columns, in walls, in bars, lounges and hotel lobbies. LED lighting behind the glass is economical, durable and gives an even glow.

The design can be bold and colourful, as here, or calm and subtle, depending on the character of the interior.
