Large Stained Glass Window for a Residence (WDR1)

WDR1 is a large arched stained glass window made for the staircase of a private residence.

Deep ruby borders with flowers frame a light central field, in which slender Gothic-style lancets and a twisted column rise towards an ornamented arch.

When the sun shines through it, the whole staircase fills with warm, coloured light.

A window that becomes the heart of the interior

A staircase window is seen from every floor of the house, so it is the perfect place for a large stained glass panel. Here the design follows the arch of the opening and is divided by the window frames, so the glass and the architecture work together as one composition. The wrought iron balustrade of the stairs echoes the scrolls in the glass.

We can make a similar window to fit any opening, from narrow lancets to wide arched windows several metres high.

Any design, any style

Thanks to many years of experience we can take on any stained glass project, whether it is a historic pattern, a design inspired by the architecture of your house or something completely new. See our other stained glass for residences, such as the traditional palace window WDR6.
