Exclusive Forged Mezzanine Balustrade (BA23)
BA23 is made for modern glamour interiors: hand-forged scrolls and lattice in white lacquer, picked out with delicate gilding.

It suits stairs and mezzanines, and we manufacture, ship and install railings like this anywhere in the world.
A central plant motif
BA23 is designed as a decorative edge for a mezzanine, where the railing is seen from below as much as from above. A central plant motif with hand-shaped volutes sets the axis of each panel, and the lines flow without sharp breaks, so the balustrade looks light despite its rich ornament. Fine gold rubbing on the white lacquer brings out the relief of the forms.
Light between the floors
An openwork railing keeps light passing between the floors and does not close off the mezzanine. That makes BA23 a good choice for bright, classical interiors, grand stairs and homes with an open gallery, where the railing is both a safety element and a piece of decoration.
Heights and gaps
A mezzanine railing has to meet stricter rules than a stair. In many European countries the guard on a gallery must be around 110 cm high, and in the United States residential codes generally require at least 36 in, with openings small enough that a 4 in sphere cannot pass. We design BA23 to the rules of the country where it will be installed, adjusting the height and the density of the ornament without changing its character. Mezzanine guards like BA23 are made in the same workshop as our interior stair railings, so both can share one pattern.
