Forged Lamp in the Form of a Tree (OGD27)

OGD27 is a lamp built as a huge old tree, forged in steel.

An eagle sits at the top, a pheasant hides in the middle and a life-size steel fox waits at the bottom, among marsh plants.

Waterproof lights placed around the tree create a play of light and shadow after dark.

A sculpture first, a lamp second

Each animal and every piece of bark is made by hand in the spatial steel technique. The photos show the lamp in the woods behind our workshop; a person and a dog give a sense of scale. It is also shown in our sculpture lamps, and a similar tree is the huge metal tree lamp.
