Forged Wicket with a Heron (BM2)

BM2 is a charming wicket in which a life-size heron, forged in three dimensions, stands among leaves and stems under an arched frame.

It is made of steel, hot-dip galvanized and patinated in autumn colours, and fitted with a strong lock and adjustable hinges.

Feathers forged one by one

The heron’s feathers are forged and laid individually, which gives the bird depth and makes it look different in every light. The heron has a silvery-blue patina, while the leaves take warm brown and gold autumn colours. An arched top closes the leaf, a forged tree trunk runs along its edge, and in the photo the wicket stands between stone pillars with caps. Its size is fitted to the passage, and the same motif can continue on a driveway gate or fence spans.
