Hand-Forged Wall Lamp (OGD3)

OGD3 is a two-light sconce with white globes on either side of a large central ornament of forged acanthus. This kind of ornament is one of the most difficult things a blacksmith can make.

Arms grown from leaves

Each globe sits at the end of an arm shaped from forged leaves, and both arms grow out of a central shield covered with deep acanthus relief. A bronze-gold patina brings out every curl of the ornament. The sconce looks good beside a front door and on the facades of classic houses, and the number of arms can be changed; its neighbours are shown among our wrought iron sconces.
