Metal Eagle – Steel Sculpture (Z18)

Z18 is a life-size eagle with wings raised, as if about to land or defend its prey. It is very heavy and finely detailed.

Feathers from graphite to bronze

The eagle comes in to land with its wings spread wide and its talons thrust forward. The layers of feathers shade from dark graphite to bronze, and every feather has a clearly forged quill. At 1:1 scale the figure looks good on a pedestal by the entrance, on a wall or on a stone step, and we can also make the eagle in another pose or with an extra element, such as a branch. Birds of prey are forged with the same feather-by-feather method as the other metal birds and animals we make.
