Traditional Double Forged Wicket (BP16F-b)

BP16F-b is a double wicket: two narrow leaves that open from the centre, giving a wide walk-through entrance for prams, bikes or garden equipment.

Its ornament follows traditional patterns. We make it hinged on both sides, as shown, or on one side only, in any size.

Arched tops and a filled base

Each narrow leaf ends in a pointed arch with forged scrolls, the middle is filled with ornament and the lower part with a band of denser work. Between pale rendered pillars, as in the photo, the dark steel reads clearly. A double wicket is a good choice where a single leaf would be too wide and heavy to open comfortably; other designs can be found among our forged pedestrian gates.
