Forged Steel Lamp (OGD66)

In OGD66 a white globe rests in a cup made of one broad, wavy steel leaf, held up by three slender curved legs. The form is original and organic.

The milk-glass globe has fine horizontal ribs, and the leaf that cradles it curls up at the edges like a real leaf drying in the sun. At the foot of the lamp more forged leaves spread out on the ground, as if they had just fallen, and the three legs rise from among them. Graphite steel emphasises the soft shapes, and the lamp is made by a master blacksmith, meticulously and in detail.

Discreet light, low down

OGD66 is a small lamp for a low wall, a flight of steps, a terrace or a flower bed, giving discreet, diffused light that marks the way without dazzling. It also makes a striking decoration indoors, on a wide windowsill or beside a fireplace.
