Massive Hanging Baroque Wrought Iron Lamp (OGD47)
OGD47 is a pair of massive baroque hanging lanterns with frosted glass and deep ornamental bases, made partly of wrought iron and partly of cast iron.

Combining the two techniques gives the lanterns their distinctly baroque weight: hand-forged scrollwork on the frame, and heavier cast ornament of shells and leaves below the rectangular body. A brown patina brings out the deep relief. The photo shows the two lamps just before installation.
About 70 kg each
Each lantern weighs about 70 kg, and it takes two adults to lift one. That weight needs a solid ceiling or beam, and it is exactly what makes the lamps look right under a grand porch, in an arcade, an entrance hall or a carriage gateway.
For terraces and porches
The lanterns hang on chains, so their height can be matched to the ceiling. They are ideal for a covered terrace or a porch, and if you are still choosing, our wrought iron lamps are a good place to start.
