Sliding Glass Door with a Forged Tree (Z81)
Z81 puts a three-dimensional tree, forged from steel, onto a large sliding glass door. Its trunk and branches stand out from the glass against a brick wall, as if the tree had grown there.
Everything is made by hand by our metalwork masters, and despite its size the door slides open very easily. The video on this page shows it in motion.

A relief that stays out of the way
The tree is mounted on the outer side of the glass and built as a relief, so it never gets in the way of using the door. It has a silvery, metallic colour, and when the door is slid aside it looks like a sculpture on the brick wall.
Sliding doors need no room for a swinging leaf, which makes them a good choice for narrow corridors, restaurants and cellars. The tree can be replaced with another relief that matches the character of the interior. The whole door was designed and made by our company.
