Wrought Iron Fence in Modern Vintage Style (BP240)
BP240 is designed to sit on top of a wall or a high foundation. Its curved, upswept ends and central crest make a fine finish for any brick fence.

Panels mounted on walls look elegant and add lightness to the whole boundary. We adapt the size and design to your wishes.
Made for the top of a wall
BP240 is designed to sit on a wall or a high foundation rather than between tall pillars. Its panels are low and long, with ends that curve upwards in a sweep and finish in forged scrolls, and a crest marks the middle. Mounted on brickwork, as in the photo, the ironwork turns a solid wall into a lighter, more elegant boundary without reducing the privacy the wall provides.
What modern vintage means here
The style combines the raw character of steel with the signs of hand work. The lines of BP240 are calm and almost architectural, which suits modern houses, but the scrolls at the ends and the forged crest are made in the traditional way and show the marks of shaping. The quality of these details becomes visible only when you come close, and that contrast between a clean overall line and handmade detail is what gives the design its character.
Matching the wall
Because the panels follow the wall, they are made to its exact length and to the position of any pillars or gates. The upswept ends can be placed at the corners, at the entrance or at both ends of each section, and their height can be adjusted so that the ironwork balances the mass of the brickwork. On a low wall a taller panel restores the overall height of the boundary; on a high wall a slim panel is enough to crown it.
The fixings are drilled into the top of the wall or set into the coping, and the panels are rust-proofed before painting, so rainwater running down the wall does not stain the brick.
- brick, rendered, stone or concrete walls,
- black, graphite or oxidised bronze finish,
- upswept ends at corners, gates or every span,
- a matching wicket and driveway gate.
A light finish for a heavy wall
Owners who have built a solid wall for privacy often find it looks severe from the street. A crown of forged ironwork changes that at once. Taller superstructures for walls and high foundations are shown with our other wall-top fence designs.
If the wall is still being built, tell us before the coping is laid: fixing plates can then be set into it, which hides the anchors completely and gives the panels a firmer base.
