Forged Doors with Loft-Style Studs (DZ27)

DZ27 is a massive, very heavy front door. Forged trusses and scrolls cover glazed windows, rows of rivets run around the frame, and at the centre of each leaf a majestic lion’s head keeps watch.

It combines loft-style rawness with classic grandeur.

Studs, lions and twisted handles

The frames of both leaves are studded with rivets, and in the glazing, among the scrolls, sit medallions with lion heads. The lower fields are solid, with scrolls in low relief, and twisted handles underline the blacksmith character. The door looks good with clinker brick and raw materials, and we make this and other forged door designs to measure, with insulation and a glazing unit.
