Balustrade with Wrought Leaves (BA78)

BA78 is richly decorated with forged leaves, flowers and twisted elements, finished in old gold.

We can use any other colour on request.

Foliage along a long, falling run

BA78 is built around a stretched plant composition that follows a long, descending flight. Spirals, forged leaves, flowers and twisted bars form the whole drawing of each span, not just a border. The centre of the span is denser, while the areas near the posts are more open, so the railing keeps its lightness despite the amount of detail.

Shaped to the stair

The lower edge of each span follows the geometry of the stair, so the line stays continuous where the height of the steps changes. Posts at key points stabilise the spans and set the rhythm of the composition. Every element is forged from solid material and modelled individually, which gives the surfaces a clear relief and natural transitions between the spirals and the leaves.

Old gold or any colour

The railing in the photos is finished in old gold, applied by hand over a dark base so that the colour gathers in the recesses and fades on the edges. Any other colour is possible: black with silver, bronze, white with gold, or a single colour to match the woodwork of the stair. Railings in other leafy patterns are shown with our indoor wrought iron railings.
