Z61 is a letterbox in the shape of a satchel hanging from the branch of a forged bonsai tree, set as a bas-relief on a brick wall.

A postman’s bag in a brick niche

A steel postman’s bag is fastened to the forged bonsai tree set in a brick niche, with a holder for newspapers beneath it. The trunk and the needles have a dark patina, while the bag has a warm, rusty tone. The piece combines the function of a mailbox with a sculpture, so it decorates a fence better than an ordinary box; the second photo shows it in the wall next to a forged gate.
