An Elegant Forged Fence (BP92)
BP92 combines the traditional blacksmith style with oriental touches: an arched panel with a lattice base and a gilded roundel at its centre.

It is delicate and solid at the same time, beautiful without being over-ornamented.
Built around a single medallion
The whole composition of BP92 is built around one point: a round medallion with gilded acanthus leaves at the centre of the arch. Symmetrical scrolls and spirals spread out from it to both sides, the arch is outlined with a twisted, rope-like bar, and the lower part of the panel is filled with a diagonal lattice. The result is formal and balanced, very much in the spirit of palace architecture.
Small gilded touches on the leaf tips and scroll ends pick out the drawing of the ornament against the black steel. Fitted between the columns of a classical facade, it works almost like a piece of jewellery at the front of the building.
Hand-forged acanthus and twisted bar
The acanthus leaves in the medallion are forged individually and then assembled, so they have real depth and overlapping edges. The rope effect on the arch is made by twisting a square bar while it is hot, a traditional technique that catches the light along its whole length.
Best in regular spans
Because the design is symmetrical and has a single focal point, it looks best in spans of similar width, set between columns or pillars. It suits villas, residences and representative buildings with a classical facade. The gilding can be limited to the medallion or extended to every leaf, and the same pattern can be repeated in a balcony railing or in a gate and wicket made as a set.
About the BP92 medallion
Can the medallion carry a monogram?
Yes. Instead of acanthus, the centre can hold initials, a coat of arms or a date. We prepare a drawing of the motif first, so you can approve it before forging begins.
