Carved Forged Bench with Acanthus (MK4)

MK4 is a massive baroque bench with a large oval medallion in the backrest, carved with a pattern of leaves and tendrils, and hand-forged acanthus on the legs and arms.

The oval sits in a bronze-coloured frame, its dark carved surface showing a fine relief of tendrils and leaves, and a crest of deeply modelled acanthus crowns it at the top. The carved wood is not just a filler for the backrest; it is the focal point of the whole design and brings warmth to all that metal.

Light and shadow in steel

The legs are built from heavy acanthus volutes that swing outwards and stand on round feet, and a band of tendrils runs between them beneath the seat. The armrests end in rolled leaves. Every form is forged in relief, so the bench catches light and shadow and feels almost monumental. The seat is made of dark timber planks, a calm counterpoint to the rich metalwork, and we can match the wood tone to your terrace.

For large gardens and grand terraces

MK4 is designed for large gardens, parks and the terraces of villas and hotels, wherever a bench should be a showpiece as well as a seat. The photos show it with a matching round table, and the two can be ordered together as a set. Every bench is made to order, and the workmanship is very detailed.
