Forged Bench in Ecru (MK15)

MK15 is a luxurious garden bench finished in ecru, a warm, creamy white, with hand-forged acanthus leaves and scroll ends picked out in gold.

The seat and backrest are made of dark brown timber slats, which stand out clearly against the pale metal. Above the backrest rises a crest of symmetrical scrolls that meet in acanthus leaves at the centre. The armrests sweep out as wide volutes, large sculpted acanthus leaves sit on the front legs, and the feet curl into small snail-shell scrolls. Along the front, under the seat, runs a frieze of fine scrolls and leaves.

Light metal, dark wood

The contrast is what makes MK15 work. The ecru frame looks fresh and light, so the bench never feels heavy on a pale stone terrace or against a white facade, while the dark wood gives it weight. It is a bench for a formal garden, a hotel entrance or a terrace with light paving and plenty of greenery.
