Designer Forged Bench – Metal Sculpture (MK21)

MK21 is inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

Characters from the story are forged into the frame: a grinning figure in a top hat on the backrest and a creature resting under a giant steel mushroom at the end, above a seat of wooden slats.

It was very difficult to make and required both our blacksmiths and our metalwork artists. We can make any theme you can imagine.

Furniture as sculpture

MK21 is an exceptionally expressive piece that joins everyday use with sculptural form. Its design rests on an elaborate, detailed steel structure that draws the eye, and every part of it was designed individually, without templates or repeated solutions.

Working the steel by hand shows the craftsmanship and gives the bench its one-off character, yet it stays comfortable to sit on. In a garden or a public space it does not blend into the background; it deliberately takes the lead, which makes it a choice for people looking for design without compromise.
