Designer Forged Bench for the Garden (MK19)
MK19 is one of the most unusual benches we have made: four wooden seats shaped like leaves, joined by flowing steel lines, with forged reeds rising at one end.

It was designed, with plenty of imagination, by a master of artistic blacksmithing. Each of the four seats is a separate, slightly dished leaf of warm, light-stained timber, and the black frame that links them is twisted or textured in places. The backrest is a lattice of curved steel bands that cross one another, with smaller wooden leaves hanging between them like foliage caught among branches.
A bench for the water’s edge
At the right-hand end forged reeds and bulrushes grow upwards, so the bench looks as if it stood on the bank of a pond. That is exactly where it looks best: beside a garden pond or a stream, next to a garden bridge or a log house. Its free lines mean it looks slightly different from every side, as a sculpture does.
Comfortable and stable
For all its loose, playful form, MK19 is built to be sat on every day. The frame is rigid, and four people can sit comfortably, each in their own seat. As with all our garden furniture, the dimensions and colours can be adapted when you order. More designs are in our forged benches.
