Designer Wrought Iron Garden Bench (MK20)
MK20 is an Art Nouveau garden bench with a forged heron standing in the middle of its backrest and a small round side table built into one end.

The heron is the centrepiece: it stands between the two halves of the backrest, its neck arched and its long beak reaching out over the seat. Around it the black steel runs in the long whiplash curves typical of Art Nouveau, and at the other end forged reeds and bulrushes rise beside the side table, as if the bench stood at the edge of a pond.
Two seats and a table
The seat and backrest are made of light timber slats and split by the heron into two sections of different lengths. The round table at the end takes a cup, a glass or a book, so there is no need to carry out a separate garden table. A twisted bar runs beneath the seat, and the legs are decorated with forged leaf and shell motifs.
A bench that is mostly sculpture
Hand-formed steel allowed a great many details and irregular lines, so MK20 looks different from every angle. It works best where it has space around it: on a lawn, beside a log house as in the photo, or in a sculpture garden. Dimensions, colour and motifs are agreed with you, and for outdoor use the steel is protected against corrosion. If you love herons, see also our heron sculptures.
