Elegant Balcony Railing (BA35)

BA35 is a classic balcony railing with exquisite manor-and-palace ornament. If your building has cornices, rustication and other classical details, it is probably the railing for you.

It is designed with care and made in our blacksmith workshop. More balconies are shown among our exterior railings.

Order instead of free scrolls

On BA35 the key word is rhythm. Instead of free scrolls, the railing follows an ordered geometric system along the whole width of the balcony: top and bottom frames enclose a decorative band, a Greek key closes the composition in a firm horizontal line, and round openings with interlaced elements give the panel lightness. Strongly marked end posts with finials frame the balcony and anchor it visually.

Precision on every module

The railing is based on a repeated module, but every segment is fitted to the proportions of the facade. Elements are shaped in the fire and joined so that the detail repeats exactly along the full length. That is demanding work, because with a geometric pattern even small deviations disturb the symmetry, so each module is checked against a template.

For classical facades

If your building has cornices, rustication and other classical details, BA35 is probably the railing for it. Its disciplined form matches the order of classical architecture, and its height and module can be adjusted to window openings and balcony depths.

Balcony railings generally have to be higher than stair railings. In many European countries around 110 cm is required on balconies, while UK guidance for homes asks for at least 1100 mm on external balconies; we set the height of BA35 according to the rules where it will be installed, adding height in the top frame so the proportions stay right.
