Light Outer Railing (BWZ2)

BWZ2 is a simple, light railing that does not overwhelm with ornament: vertical bars, a few of them twisted, and copper-toned accents along a terrace.

It can be used on terraces, balconies, mezzanines and stairs, in any colour and any size.

Light without being plain

A slender frame carries a steady rhythm of vertical bars. At intervals, twisted bars and forged accents in a copper tone, rings, leaves and calla-like flowers, break the regularity, and small copper balls run along the bottom rail. In the photo it runs along a terrace with a stone base and looks like a natural extension of the house.

Spacing that matters

On a light railing the space between the bars matters as much as the steel. We set the spacing so that the railing looks airy but still meets safety requirements, and we keep the bars rigid so the pattern stays straight along the whole terrace.

Galvanized for the twists

Outdoors it is hot-dip galvanized before painting, which matters for the twisted bars, whose grooves would otherwise hold water. Copper, bronze or gold accents are added after painting. Further light patterns are shown with our terrace and balcony railings.
