Elegant Forged Lantern (OGD107)

OGD107 is one of the most popular lanterns we make: a tall lamp post with large hand-forged acanthus leaves climbing from a shapely base and a lantern of milk glass under a forged crown.

The standard height is 250 cm (98 in), and we also make it in other sizes. The slim middle of the post is deliberately left almost plain, with the ornament kept to the base and the top, so the lamp looks light and graceful rather than heavy.

Elegance through restraint

That balance is what makes OGD107 so easy to place. The photos show it in a garden of clipped conifers, beside a brick fence pillar and in front of a single-storey house, and it looks right in each setting. The milk glass gives a soft, even light that suits a drive or the approach to a front door.
