Elegant Rose Railing (BA55)

BA55 is a railing made of roses: stems, leaves and blooms forged by hand and arranged so naturally that they seem to climb the stair.

It is a real work of art. The colour is up to you, but it looks best in light tones, as here.

A garden on the staircase

Rose railings work beautifully in bright, romantic interiors and conservatories. Other floral designs can be seen among our wrought iron stair railings.

Roses forged petal by petal

Every rose on BA55 is assembled from separately forged petals, which are cut, curved and layered around a centre, then joined to a stem with forged leaves. The stems wind along the stair and up the newel post, so the railing reads as a climbing plant rather than a pattern. A light patina with soft pink and green tones gives the flowers depth, as the photo of the white stair shows.

Safe as well as beautiful

The roses are attached to a load-bearing frame of bars, which carries the handrail and takes the forces of daily use. The floral part therefore never has to bear weight, and the railing remains safe even where the ornament looks delicate. The spacing of the stems is planned so that the openings stay small enough for a home with children.
