Forged Fence with Sunflowers (BM44)

BM44 is a wall of forged sunflowers, about 200 cm (6 ft 6 in) high.

Every petal of every flower was forged as a separate piece and then joined, so the span is a true steel sculpture, fully three-dimensional.

It is hot-dip galvanized against rain and rust, and we can make it in any height, length or colour.

Before and after colour

The photos show BM44 finished in yellow and green, both on its own and set between brick pillars. The second view reveals the work behind the flowers: every petal of every sunflower was forged separately and joined to the centre, and the large heads are set at different heights and angles, as in a real field.

Large, legible shapes and flowing stems make the span light and elegant, even though it is solid in construction. The motif suits classic elevations as well as modern houses, and its height, length and colours can be changed freely. Sunflowers also pair well with other flowers from our botanical fence designs.

The span is hot-dip galvanized against rain and rust, so the bare-steel version in the second photo can also be kept as it is under a clear protective coat, for a more industrial look.
