Wrought Iron Gate with a Heron Scene (BM37)

BM37 is a gentler cousin of our powerful hunting gates. Two pale herons stand among forged reeds and branches on a sliding gate between brick pillars.

The pattern, the arrangement, the type of birds and the plants can all be changed, and the gate can be made sliding or swinging. Every detail is forged from steel by hand in our workshop.

Grey-blue herons, dark plants

The birds stand at different heights beneath leaning boughs, one with its neck stretched upwards and one bending forward, creating a dynamic, almost sculptural composition that looks best against greenery. The grey-blue plumage of the herons contrasts with the dark, patinated vegetation, which keeps the gate light despite its wealth of detail.

A scene you can rearrange

Because every element is made individually, the scene can be planned around your property: more birds or fewer, reeds or flowering plants, a different species altogether. We make some of the most unusual gates in the world and will gladly work out your idea. More designs of this kind are shown among our sculptured gates and fences.
