Forged Mansion Fence (BP38)
BP38 was designed to emphasise the stately character of a manor house. Its spans, with scrolled crests, run along a stone-clad base, and the steel is finished with a patina of antique gold.

Any detail can be changed to suit you.
Beautiful classics in steel
BP38 is an example of beautiful classics: a manor fence whose form relies on moderation and proportion. Its line is calm and orderly, the spans repeat at an even rhythm and the scrolled crests are kept modest, so the fence frames the house without competing with it. The steel ornament is finished with a patina of antique gold, which gives the details a gentle glow against the dark structure.
The fence shown runs along a stone-clad base in front of a garden with conifers and lawns, a setting in which its restrained elegance looks completely natural.
Designed for a manor house
The fence was designed to emphasise a building with a manor character. Classic proportions, the regular division of the spans and the absence of excessive decoration are what give it its timeless look. It harmonises with traditional architecture, stone paving and well-kept greenery, and it organises the space around the house in a quiet, confident way.
Any detail can be changed
Every element of BP38 can be adjusted to your needs: the height of the spans, the shape of the crests, the type of bar tops and the colour of the patina. The antique gold can be replaced with bronze or silver, or the whole fence can be finished in classic black.
- spans for stone, brick or rendered bases,
- crests made higher near the entrance,
- a matching driveway gate and wicket,
- patina in antique gold, bronze or silver.
Manor fences with other crests and finishes are part of our forged iron fences collection.
How the antique gold patina is made
The patina is applied by hand after the steel has been protected and painted. A gold tone is brushed onto the crests and then partly wiped back, so it stays in the recesses and fades on the edges, imitating the look of gilding softened by time. The effect is gentler and more noble than bright gold, and it matches the calm manor style of the fence.
