Forged Railing (BA36)

BA36 has a light, traditional openwork pattern, finished with massive wrought iron columns that give it an exclusive character. In the photo it curves across a balcony of carved stone.

It suits classic houses as well as mansions and palaces.

Following the arc of the balcony

The railing was fitted to a semicircular balcony, so it runs smoothly along the arc. The top rail draws a steady line, and below it riveted diagonal lattice and hand-shaped scrolls form a regular pattern, with a fan of scrolls at the centre. Massive columns at the ends frame the composition, standing between the stone columns of the facade.

Riveting on a curve

Riveted lattice is traditional, but on a curved railing every crossing sits at a slightly different angle. The bars are bent to the radius first and then riveted, and each segment is fitted individually, so the pattern stays even all the way round.

Dark iron on pale stone

Pale stone, carved cornices and columns make the dark ironwork read clearly. Further curved balconies are presented among our exterior balustrades.
