Wrought Iron Balcony Railing (BWZ12)

BWZ12 is a simple, classic balcony railing, ideal when you do not want the facade to shout. Its gentle curve follows a bowed balcony beneath an arched window.

Thanks to its restraint, it looks very elegant.

Matched to the arched window

BWZ12 was fitted to a semicircular balcony slab and to the arched window above it. The railing runs in a smooth curve, with a clearly marked handrail and evenly spaced vertical bars, and hand-shaped forged leaves and scrolls appear in the central fields. A horizontal steel band in the lower part stabilises the railing both visually and structurally.

Bending without losing the rhythm

Curving the whole line required precise bending of the sections and control over the repeat of the divisions. Each segment was fitted by hand to keep the rhythm continuous and the railing rigid. Simple as it looks, a railing like this shows how much the technical process shapes the final character of the form.

Restraint that looks elegant

BWZ12 is ideal when you do not want the facade to shout. Its classic, restrained pattern suits houses with arched windows, render and traditional joinery, and a second, smaller balcony can carry the same design, as on the house in the photo. It is protected for permanent outdoor exposure, and other quiet designs can be compared with our classic balcony railings.

Before production we check the height of the window sill against the required height of the railing. Where the sill is low, the railing is raised slightly above it, so the window can be opened fully and the balcony stays safe for children.

Riveted, refined and protected

Railings like this are made in stages: preparing the raw sections, shaping them at high temperature and finally riveting and refining the detail. Because the railing must last under constant exposure to the weather, the load-bearing structure and the decorative part are designed as one system, and the choice of sections, the joining method and the anchoring in the edge of the balcony slab decide how long it will serve.
