Richly Decorated Balcony Railing (BWZ32)

BWZ32 is a richly decorated steel balcony railing in the baroque style, with a bellied front that swells outwards beneath a tall arched window, densely filled with fine scrollwork.

Designs like this are intended mainly for palaces, mansions and exclusive residences, and the pattern is very finely made by our master blacksmiths.

A bellied baroque front

The railing swells outwards in a gentle curve, a form known from baroque palaces, where balconies seem to push forward from the facade. The whole space between the handrail and the bottom rail is filled with layered scrollwork and forged leaves, so the ironwork has real depth. Against the pale facade the dark steel becomes the main ornament of the elevation.

A little more room at the window

The bulge is not only decorative: it gives the window a little more space in front of it, so the balcony can be used even when the slab is shallow. The handrail and bottom rail are strong enough to keep the bellied form rigid across its full width.
