Oriental-Style Balcony Railing (BA81)
BA81 is an unusual, very massive balcony railing: dense acanthus scrolls and leaves sweep around a central shield, a design that stands out sharply from typical railings.

It is made entirely of metal by our best craftsmen, in any size and shape.
A curved panel with a shield
The photos show the railing in our workshop before delivery. The panel is bowed to follow a semicircular balcony, and at its centre sits a large shield framed by deeply modelled acanthus leaves and rosettes. A heavy, rounded handrail closes the top, and the curve of the panel shows how much depth the ornament has.
Built for a semicircular balcony
On a curved slab the bending radius of the frame must match the balcony exactly, and the axis of the shield must line up with the window or door behind it. We bend the frame to the measured radius before the ornament is fitted, so the pattern runs evenly around the whole curve.
Massive, yet open
Despite its weight, the railing remains openwork, so light and views pass through. It suits grand facades in oriental, glamour and palace style; other designs of this kind belong to our exterior railing collection.
