St Joseph Stained Glass Window – Lead Technique (WK6)
WK6 is a church stained glass window of St Joseph, made in the lead technique.

The saint stands in an orange robe with a purple cloak, holding a staff topped with a lily, framed by blue glass under a narrow arch.
It was made for the same church as our St Christopher window and forms a pair with it.
Traditional craft
Each piece of glass is cut by hand, painted with metal oxides and fired in a kiln, then set in lead came and soldered at every joint. The painting fused into the glass will not fade, so the window keeps its colours and expression for many generations.
St Joseph is the patron of families, workers and a good death, and his image is found in almost every Catholic church.
