Unique Openwork Forged Pillars (S3)

S3 pillars are handcrafted openwork columns with gilded scrolls, wreaths and vases. Used in place of concrete or brick, they create a charming whole with a wrought iron fence and gate.

A laurel wreath between two pillars

A pair of narrow S3 pillars closes the wicket beside the gate, with a gilded laurel wreath hung between them. Golden acanthus leaves fill the pillars, lamp cups crown them and heraldic lilies run along the bottom. They work best where gate and wicket are meant to read as one composition; the whole palace gate set BP46 is described separately.
