Wrought Iron Palace Door (DZ16)

DZ16 is a grand palace entrance in pale tones, with layers of ornament, an arched crest and a red carpet leading up to it in the photo.

A lion mask in the transom

Oval medallions surrounded by scrolls decorate the leaves, and a mask with a lion’s head sits in the wide transom above. Side fields and fluted pilasters widen the portal, and the double leaves open onto steps laid with a red runner. A golden-brown patina looks good with pale stone and marble, and a similar style in black and gold is shown among our palace doors.
