Bailiff – A Modern Steel Figure (Z105)
Z105 shows a man in a suit carrying a briefcase, but without a heart and with much of his body missing.
What remains is an openwork figure that seems to dissolve into the air, a quietly ironic portrait of the bailiff.
It suits interiors and gardens of modern buildings; in the photos it stands among evergreens with a curious dog for company.
A head, a shirt and an empty middle
Only the head, the collar and shoulders of the shirt, one arm with the briefcase and the shoes remain; everything in between is missing, so the eye completes the figure on its own. The rusty and golden surfaces of the steel contrast with the dark green of the conifers in the photos. It is a sculpture with a sense of humour for a garden, a law office or a modern building. Similar work, in other sizes and finishes, is in our steel figures.
