St John Paul II Church Stained Glass Window (WK1)
WK1 is a church stained glass window showing St John Paul II, made by our studio in the traditional lead technique.

The Pope stands in a red cape over white robes under a pointed arch, with a church and a dedication below, surrounded by blue sky and flowers.
The window is in the church in Jodłówka-Wałki, in southern Poland.
A portrait fired into the glass
All the painting on this window was done with metal oxides and then fired in a fusing kiln at 600 °C (1,112 °F). There is no paint on this window: after firing, the metal oxides are fused into the glass itself, so the painting cannot be damaged or washed off.
The technique we use is one of the most durable methods of painting glass. That is why a window made this way keeps its colours and details for generations.

Stained glass for churches
We make church windows with saints, biblical scenes and symbols, as single windows or complete series for a whole church, and we take care of everything from the design to installation. See the Divine Mercy window from the same church and our other church stained glass windows.
