A Dragon Fighting a Phoenix – Huge Forged Lamp (OGD122)
OGD122 is a lamp seven metres (23 ft) tall, forged entirely by hand.
At the top a dragon and a phoenix fight around the lantern, while a baroque lamp post below is overgrown by an old fairy-tale tree.
Near the ground there is a snake and a pair of parrots. It is a gigantic, absolutely unique work of blacksmith art, standing in a park.
1,500 kilograms of steel
The lamp weighs about 1,500 kg (3,300 lb) and was made entirely of steel in our workshop in Dębica. Both creatures are sized to match the height of the lamp, and we can make a similar piece to order. Other tall lights are shown among our heavy wrought lanterns.
