Massive Forged Fence for a Manor, Palace or Castle (BP205)

BP205 is a tall, massive fence for a park, castle or palace. Tall steel columns rise along a long stone base, with heavy bars and forged ornaments between them.

Scale for parks, castles and palaces

BP205 is designed for historic and representative grounds, where a fence has to hold its own against large buildings and long distances. Heavy steel columns stand at regular intervals on a continuous stone base, and between them run tall bars with forged ornaments placed at a measured rhythm, so the decoration supports the structure instead of competing with it.

A fence of this height is usually between 2 and 3 metres (6½ to 10 ft), depending on the size of the building and the lie of the land. We set the exact height for each site, so that the columns, the stone base and the ornament keep their proportions when seen from the gate or from across the park.

What makes it last

Long, tall fences are exposed to wind and to the slow movement of the ground. That is why the columns are anchored deep in the base, the bars are made from solid sections and the joints are designed to stay rigid over decades. With a zinc coat under the paint, the line stays clean even after many winters.
