Forged Palace Fence in White (BP90)

BP90 is a palace fence finished in white. Its rich pattern of lattice and scrolls is made from bars of moderate thickness, so it looks beautiful without overwhelming the house.

We make it to order, in any size.

A palace fence in white

BP90 is for owners who want the front of their property to look exceptionally representative and to be associated at once with class and refined style. Its light, white finish and ornamental form create an elegant setting for the entrance that is visible from far down the street. In this aesthetic every detail matters, which is why the fence suits classical architecture and stylish facades so well.

The panel combines a lattice with scrolls and a crowning ornament at the centre, all drawn symmetrically. Against the light-coloured residence behind it, the white ironwork almost merges with the facade and looks like part of the architecture.

Rich pattern, moderate bars

Despite the rich composition, the fence looks light. The secret lies in the sections: the lattice and scrolls are made from bars of moderate thickness, so the pattern stays delicate and does not overwhelm the house. Openwork fills, repeated motifs and smoothly drawn lines make the ornament impressive from a distance and fascinating up close, when the care taken over each element becomes visible.

Symmetry is essential on a palace design. Each half of the panel mirrors the other, and every span repeats the same drawing, so the whole fence reads as one ceremonial frame around the property.

Why white works

White ironwork has a long tradition in palace and seaside architecture. It brightens the frontage, emphasises the outline of the ornament against greenery and blends with light stone and render. Unlike black, it does not create a strong barrier effect, so even a tall fence feels open and friendly.

A light colour needs a carefully prepared surface. Rust protection followed by several coats of paint keeps the white even and free of rust stains at the joints for many years.

A front fence that organises the entrance

BP90 works well as a front fence, because it organises the space at the entrance and the driveway and marks a clear boundary, while the openwork structure keeps the space in front of the house light. Together with a matching gate and wicket, it creates a polished setting that makes the property stand out at once.

  • white, ivory, cream or pale grey finish,
  • gilded accents on the central ornament on request,
  • any height and span width,
  • balcony railings and gates in the same pattern.

Made to order, in any size

We make BP90 to order, in any size, from a short city frontage to the boundary of a large estate. Each fence is drawn for its site, so the ornament is centred in every span and the panels follow any slope without distortion. Palace fences in black, bronze and gold sit alongside BP90 in our range of palace and manor fences.

A white fence after dark

A white fence looks especially beautiful at dusk, when lanterns on the pillars or small lights at its foot pick out the ornament against the dark garden. We can make forged lanterns and pillar lamps in the same pattern, so that the frontage stays elegant after sunset.

Owners of white fences also appreciate how little the colour shows dust and pollen, which tend to be more visible on black steel; a rinse with water now and then keeps the finish bright.
